Lesley Lane – email@example.com
I’m Lesley Lane, the Qualified Teacher here at the Children’s Centre.
I have an honours degree in Primary Education after studying for 4 years in order to be a primary school teacher.
I taught for several years in state schools with children from reception up to year 6.
After having my own two children I helped to run first aid courses for nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools. I then returned to teaching, working one-to-one with special needs children including those on the autistic spectrum and with language delays. I also worked as a supply teacher for various state and private schools in Surrey.
In my role as Qualified Teacher within the Christopher Robin’s Children’s Centre I enjoy supporting the implementation of the new Early Years Foundation Stage, and supporting children in their transition to school. In addition to this I am involved in running the ‘Play and Learn’ sessions for parents and children within the Cranleigh reach area and delivering our Parenting Puzzle courses.
Hilary Leigh – firstname.lastname@example.org
I have previously managed a Pre-School within a village location and I have worked closely in a voluntary capacity in a local Primary School. I was also the chair of PTFA at my children’s Primary School and have been involved in various fundraising activities.
You can find me at our weekly Play and Learn session, and I co-facilitate the Parenting Puzzle course. I also do home visits for families in need of a little extra support.
Gayle Moodie – email@example.com
Hello, my name is Gayle Moodie and my role at the Children’s Centre is Advice, Information & Guidance/ Administrator. My working days are Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday where I am available at the Centre.
I am a local resident and know Cranleigh and the surrounding villages very well. I have three young children of my own and this experience has given me an interest in the issues faced by families with young children and the importance of community support in these areas.
I studied Geography at the University of Liverpool and after a career in IT/Data management I am now enjoying working closer to home and supporting the local community with all the activities and services the Children’s Centre has to offer.
